Rick Perry and the NYCC (aka Acorn). Is anyone surprised? After all he was an Al Gore supporter and former Democrat. Is this another case of Field Expedient party change for the benefit of winning? Texas has been successful because of its long lasting conservative legislature and courts. Perry is the second in a line of consecutive middle of the road republicans. Bush Jr. was slightly right of center and perry of left of center.
